First Mother's Day

Today was a very special day because it was Mother's Day (my first!) and my mother's birthday! I wasn't sure how I was going to feel waking up this morning, but being served breakfast in bed definitely helped me ease into being celebrated! Michael made me his signature "Michael McMuffin"; so yummy. He also made one for Tebria, who is also a mother. What a guy!

My mom arrived at our house at noon and we all visited for a while before heading out to a nice Mother's Day/Birthday lunch.

Tebria got picked up for lunch by her grandma and aunt and my mom and I went to the Olive Garden. Yum! 

Zoey slept through lunch, squirming every now and then, making sure we didn't forget about her (not that we ever could!) :)

After lunch we all met up back at our house to open presents and continue celebrating. 

After changing Zoey, my mom came downstairs to find a birthday cake!

Note to self: Don't buy these candles ever again. As soon as we lit them, they began to melt like crazy! We had to blow them out before my mom even had the chance because the letters were becoming unrecognizable! Oh well...

As was stated on her wish list, my mom got workout socks, an iTunes gift card and her favorite lotion for her birthday! She gave me a beautiful heart necklace for my first Mother's Day! And, as everyday is a day to celebrate Zoey (LOL), my mom gave her an adorable yellow, black and white outfit with little bees on it :) Today was a great day.
