Last night, we arrived in Spokane at about 11:30. We found a hotel near Gonzaga, that got good reviews and had an "accessible" room for $74. We pulled into the parking lot, booked the room on the Expedia website and then sauntered in to the hotel to check in! (Have I mentioned that I love the Expedia app? :) The room was nice, and the fact that it was "accessible", aka a handicap room, meant that it was spacious; perfect for the pack 'n' play! (That might be my new hotel booking secret! I guess it's OK, as long as we're not taking the room from someone who really needs it?)
This morning, we were up early and had breakfast at the Perkins up the street. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to venture over to Gonzaga's campus for a walk down memory lane; next time, for sure. After about 5 hours, and a quick stop at the outlet mall in Northbend, we arrived at my uncle's to retrieve the Kiwi and Harper. Apparently, they had a great weekend and I got the feeling that they didn't really want to come home!
When we finally got home, Michael brought in the 3 days worth of mail and we were surprised to find a package for Zoey! Mrs. Thompson, my 4th grade teacher and godmother, sent her a cool book full of classic Dr. Seuss stories ("MY BIG Book of Beginner Books About ME!"). Michael started reading her "The Foot Book", but poor Buggie was too wiped from the drive to sit still and enjoy it.
Hungry and sleepy (and possibly delirious); not in the mood for storytime.
Tonight was a much needed "bath night" (we were a little overdue)!
Bath time is a whole new adventure, now that she's sitting up on her own!
Soap Suds Beard!
That's the look of trouble!
(Michael was helping her climb over the arm of the couch and she was picking up my shoes!)
I am really in for it. Between her and her daddy, the mischief level in this house is quite high, already!
